Development of the University from 1808 to the present day – 215 years of tradition
In close cooperation with management, professional and administrative bodies of the University, the rector and four vice-rectors make up the rector’s board and govern the University.

The University of Belgrade has 31 faculties organized into four groups: Social Sciences and Humanities, Medical Sciences, Sciences and Mathematics, Technology and Engineering Sciences.
Eleven research institutes also form part of the University of Belgrade. You can see how they are organized by visiting the official web pages of the respective institutes.
The University of Belgrade has been organizing programs for graduate studies in inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary scientific fields since 1970.
