CLIMATE CHANGE AND ADAPTATION TO CLIMATE CHANGE
The program addresses global and regional challenges of climate change through the integration of professional knowledge, an excellent research environment, and academically dedicated students, all with the aim of developing a specialized study environment within competencies capable of responding to the conditions of the modern labor market.
Objectives:
- Developing fundamental and applied knowledge, abilities, skills, and attitudes necessary for dealing with long-term, interdisciplinary challenges caused by climate change;
- Understanding global and regional climate change, its causes and consequences, as well as its impact on society, economic development, and the economy, particularly on sectors identified in the National Reports of the Republic of Serbia under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change as the most vulnerable to the negative impacts of climate change, such as agriculture, public health, forestry, water management, energy, and infrastructure sectors;
- Acquiring knowledge and skills that would enable finding solutions for mitigation and adaptation to the consequences of climate change, as well as understanding conventions, agreements, and strategies related to climate change.
Learning Outcomes:
Graduates acquire the competencies of a Master Analyst for Climate Change, qualified for planning, organizing, and conducting scientific research work in scientific-research institutions, economic and governmental organizations, as well as private companies, in accordance with modern scientific achievements and trends in the field of climate change.
