The University of Belgrade has been ranked between 401st and 500th place from among 2500 universities, according to the latest Shanghai Ranking of world’s universities (Academic Ranking of World Universities – ARWU). The University has been ranked among top 500 higher education institutions in the world for four years consecutively.
ARWU Ranking Criteria:
- Quality of Education (10%) – alumni of an institution winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals
- Quality of Faculty (40% in total) – staff of an institution winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals – 20%, highly cited researchers – 20%
- Research Output (40% in total) – papers published in Nature and Science – 20%, papers indexed in SCIE and SSCI – 20%
- Per Capita Academic Performance of an Institution (10%)
